It's About Time

My life is crazy. Is yours?

I have three kids, ages 18, 15, and 11, and work full-time at a demanding job in a fast-paced community. My life on the run is lived part-conscientiously, and part-fraught with daily intentions to make it better. I wish to slow down and smell the roses, not to mention spend more time writing, cooking my favorite dishes while chatting with anyone bellied up to my kitchen counter, looking my kids in the eye when I speak, and more importantly, when they speak and need me to listen, and ah yes, sleep, that all-important head to the pillow, dreamless-state sleep!

It's all about time.

So, while sleep is on my radar, this blog evolved from my attraction to technology and how it could improve my quality of life. I am particularly drawn to the varied menu of apps offered at an ever-increasing pace through the Apple App Store. At night, with a mug of hot tea in hand, I search and download app after app, with an eye to streamlining the tasks of project management, setting strategy, communicating new ideas, parenting, and overall, multitasking. With another lens, I look for apps that I think might help me find new ways of working, including tools that would improve my field of fundraising, communications and outreach. During daylight hours, I test out these apps and discover new ideas along the way.

It's about time.

What I discover, I share here. Join me and share your suggestions for best work-home apps here. Let's begin!
